My son-in-law has been told he is part Native American. The Dakota Nation. When I look up his ancestors names nothing is mentioned in records. His name is David Dorman, his mother is Rebecca Dorman, his grandmother is Barbara Dorman, his maternal great grandparents are Wendell S Dorman and Velma Gertrude Hankins, his great, great grandparents are Willis Stephen Dorman and Laura E Scott. Most of the family starting with Barbara were born in Iowa. David was born in Texas and lived in Arizona most of his young life. His family (wife, 2 daughters and one step-son) now reside in Texas. Barbara and Rebecca live in Tucson Arizona. Where can I or my son-in-law go or contact to have the family stories verified. According to someone who contacted Barbara last year David is the last male in the line with the Dorman surname. Any help to verify or disclaim the stories would be appreciated. Thank you for your time Marlene W
